  1. How much makeup you wear on your eyes

  2. How you remove it

  3. What you use to remove it

  4. How you shower

  5. Making sure the makeup is oil-free and NOT waterproof

  6. Same goes for makeup remover

before.

  1. Please come with clean eyes and no makeup 24 hours before your lash appointment. I recommend showering prior to the appointment.

  2. Stay away from any oily and waterproof makeup. The reason for it is, if there is still some residue from the makeup on your lashes it will affect the retention, even after cleansing them.

after.

*Important After Care

  1. For the next 24 hours after the lash application, no contact with water, tanning beds, saunas/steam rooms, working out (yoga, gym or any physical activities),

  2. Please stay away from oily and waterproof makeup.

  3. *Please cleanse your lashes regularly with lash shampoo and lash cleansing brush.

  4. When showering DO NOT put your face directly into the showerhead, it will weigh on your natural lashes and may stress them out and your natural lashes can break prematurely.

  5. Try to sleep on your back.

  6. Get a satin or silk pillowcase

  7. Brush your lashes using the mascara wand, when they seem messy.

  8. DO NOT play or pull at your lashes, as it can damage your natural lashes.

can i have a reaction?

Chemical burns happen from lashing while the eye is slightly open. Happens when the client is talking a lot, falls asleep or has when the eyes do not completely shut close. The red sclera, painful usually goes away in a few days. But whenever you do feel the burn please notify the lash artist so she can eliminate as much burn as she can.

The bruised sclera, the tape or eye pad moved up and damaged the client's sclera. --- usually looks like a red line on the sclera. Happens with the client talking,  its painful, but usually goes away in a few days.

do you have to cleanse your lashes?

ABSOLUTELY YES. If you don't what happens is, the build-up of dirt and oil will clog the hair follicle causing a dissipation to the natural lash line which makes it difficult for the new lashes to grow nice, thick and healthy.

So wash, wash, wash!

can i have allergies to lash extensions?

Unfortunately yes, and it can happen all of a sudden, even if you have been getting lashes for a long time.

Allergies are a hypersensitive immune response to a substance that comes in contact with or enters the body. If a client has seasonal allergies or is sick, they need to get the illness or allergies under control.

Applying lash extensions can spark an allergic reaction to extensions because the client's immune system is already compromised.

Clean

how do i cleanse my lashes?

Over the sink not in the shower. Use your fluffy eyelash cleansing brush with the proper lash cleanser, pump some of the cleansers into your clean palm and dip your brush into the foam and apply it on to your lashes, gently going downwards and then rinsing the brush and cleaning the lashes until they are all clean. You can do both eyes at the same time or one at a time.

Please do NOT use Qtips, it will pull and damage your natural lashes.

do lash extensions cause damage?

Not if properly applied. When damage happens to the natural lash of properly applied extensions it is usually due to poor hygiene and not following the aftercare for lashes.

how do i test if i'm allergic?

To patch test I apply about 10 lashes on each eye and wait at least 3 days. Patch tests are NEVER to be performed on the skin. Lash glue is not formulated for, nor should be ever be used on, the skin. If a client has a reaction, the best practices to remove the lashes ASAP.

what is a shed cycle? how often does it happen?

We lose lashes like every other hair on our body. We naturally lose 1-5 natural lashes per day, and the shedding cycle happens anywhere from 30-50 days.

When an old lash (follicle) dies and a new one starts growing. We also have seasonal sheds, which is spring and fall, that's when the lash shed cycle is faster than usual, and it is normal.
